My next project: Paint my interior doors jet black!

This is a great way to make any place look instantly more chic.  Paint the doors black!!!  A black front door always looks sharp, but I'm talking about closets, bathrooms, bedrooms and the back of your front door.  I'm researching the paint (oil vs. latex, etc) and I'm going to post the before and after pictures when I'm done....  My front foyer has a main door with side light panels, two closet doors and the door to the lower level.  I can't wait to start!  But as far as I can tell, this works when you:
  1. Leave the trim around the doors white
  2. Use a quality high gloss paint
  3. The surrounding walls are pale
Stay tuned!

Topiary Garden

There are no words for this image of a topiary garden on top of a cliff somewhere in the world.  Truly magnificent but I have no idea where it is.

No need to write your Congressman - The Wool Acorn is on ArtFire.com

After a few requests and a bit of urging, I started adding some of my work to ArtFire.com!  Here's a link, check it out... let me know if you're looking for other colors that I haven't added to the site.  I've got a rainbow in wool.

In love with Pinterest

Have you tried it yet?  Pinterest is a very cool (somewhat new) site that let's you "pin" images that you like from all over the internet.  You can make a collection (called a "board") of anything from outfits to ottomans to party ideas.  You can also choose to follow the boards of people that have a style you like and browse through the pins and boards they've created.  Of course, just random searching is fun, too.  You do need an invitation to join the site but it's completely free... and there's no benefit to the person who sends you the invitation... so let me know if you would like one and I'll send it right out.  Just send me your email address!  You can find me at TheWoolAcorn @ gmail . com (take out those spaces).

At the door and a big amount of magical

Doors that are flooded with light are a big amount of magical.  I want a fabulous door.  Where should I start?  Maybe not Home Depot.

Pillows

It's not hard to find pillows, but it can be tricky finding really fabulous pillows.  Prices can range from outrageous and we-need-to-sell-the-kids to not so bad.  I have a theory that I could pick up a few inexpensive pillows at Marshalls or TJ Maxx and dress them up with trim or pompoms (a quick and thrifty DIY project) but it hasn't exactly happened yet.  But here's some great inspiration for that project.
